Dan Mason, President and CEO of CBS RADIO, was designated “Radio Executive of the Year” last week’s All Access and A&R Worldwide’s Worldwide Radio Summit in Hollywood. The distinction was announced at a luncheon at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, during the influential, multi-day radio summit. The gathering, which was held from April 2-4 and is in its fourth year, includes presentations, networking events, panels, performances and an awards luncheon. Awards were presented on Friday, April 4, and voted on by individuals in the radio and records industry, with the winner receiving the most votes from a jury of their peers.
He was also the recipient of the honor at the first Worldwide Radio Summit in 2011.
“Receiving this award a second time is an exceptional honor and means even more to me knowing that it comes from the support and recognition of my peers, mentors and influencers,” said Mason. “Doing what you love day to day is a blessing and I’m pleased that others have taken note of my passion and enthusiasm for radio, a medium I truly believe in and have spent my entire career championing.”
In addition to Mason, CBS RADIO received two other honors. KROQ-FM was named “Station of the Year” and its Music Director/Assistant Program Director Lisa Worden was named “Music Director of the Year,” a title she also received in 2011.
